Janice Rowell

The natural beauty of the northern California coast inspires Janice Rowell’s porcelain and assemblages.

Janice Rowell has developed a new technique of "multifaceting", for which she was granted a US patent. Her multifaceted forms are classic, pure and simple. The Latin word porcelain had the meaning of shell. Her translucent porcelains evoke shell-like qualities and mirror the beach where she lives. They are functional, everyday objects, exquisite to touch, use and gaze upon.
In her thirty year career, Janice has received numerous awards and acclaim for her innovative work, which has been exhibited nationally and collected worldwide. In November 1999, Janice realized a long-term dream when the Janice Rowell Gallery opened.
