A. S. Batle
Sculptor Agelio Batle carries the spirit of nature's timeless forms in this series of graphite objects.
Batle's reverence for organic forms was inspired by countless hours spent in the grandeur and wisdom of nature, intimately observing and studying. Further nurtured into being through Batle's formal studies in biology and art, this vision thrived and grew. Each graphite object was meticulously created in Batle's studio through a unique process he invented. Carbonaceous graphite (mineral remains of prehistoric plant life) was combined with smudge-resistant compounds under intense pressure. The mass then fused into the expression of nature's enduring simplicity you see before you. All their surfaces can draw and the graphite will resist smudging on to your hands.
Batle envisions these objects as sculptures, as much as they are implements for inspiring your own vision.
